AI Coworkers¶
AI Coworkers are AI-powered users β chatbots, voicebots, and mailbots β managed alongside your human agents in the Users module. Each AI Coworker corresponds to a single Coworkers.ai instance and can be assigned to queues and routings just like a regular user.
Open the AI Coworkers tab in Settings β Users β List of Users.

You need a valid AI Coworkers licence to create AI Coworkers. If the licence is not active, the Add button will be disabled and any routing targets set to an AI Coworker will fall back to their configured fallback target. Licences are managed in the Licensing module.
AI Coworker Types¶
| Type | Description |

| AI Chatbot | Handles text-based channels β web chat, Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber, and similar. |
| AI Voicebot | Handles voice calls. |
| AI Mailbot | Handles incoming emails. |
Creating an AI Coworker¶
Click Add to create a new AI Coworker. Fill in the following fields:
| Field | Description |

| Title | Display name of the AI Coworker, visible across the app. |
| Unique name | Internal identifier. Cannot be changed after creation. |
| Type | Select AI Chatbot, AI Voicebot, or AI Mailbot. |
| Template | Select a Coworkers.ai builder template, or assign the AI Coworker to an existing Coworkers.ai instance of the same type that is not yet connected to any AI Coworker. |
| Fallback | The module and target to route to if the AI Coworker is unavailable or the licence is inactive. Use the open button next to the field to verify the fallback target. |
| Outgoing identification | (AI Voicebot only) Numbers presented to the called party. Separate multiple numbers with a comma β one is selected randomly per call. Leave empty to use the default numbers. |

A new Coworkers.ai instance is created automatically when you save a new AI Coworker.
Managing AI Coworkers¶
Builder¶
Click Open in the Builder column to open the Coworkers.ai conversation builder directly within Daktela. The builder provides access to:
- Dialogs β conversation flow design
- Knowledge β knowledge base content
- API integrations β external data connections
- Discussions β internal notes and collaboration
- Statistics β usage and performance data

Clone¶
Cloning an AI Coworker also clones the associated Coworkers.ai instance, including its dialogs, AI integrations, and knowledge base.
Deactivate¶
Use the deactivate button to disable an AI Coworker without deleting it. Deactivated AI Coworkers stop processing activities and all routing targets pointed to them fall back to the configured fallback target.
To view deactivated AI Coworkers, check the Deactivated checkbox above the grid. Open the detail and save to reactivate.
Warning
Use deactivate instead of delete. Deleting an AI Coworker permanently removes it and its associated Coworkers.ai instance.
Import & Export¶
Use the Import and Export buttons above the grid to bulk-manage AI Coworkers via CSV.
