Macros

Macros are used to grouping actions with tickets. Go toManage → Tickets → Macros .


Create a New Macro/Edit a Macro

Tocreate a new macro from scratch , click Add new . To use an existing macro as a template  for your new one, click Clone  in the Actions  column. To edit an existing macro , click its title. The macro details will open.


Macro Details

Fill out the MacrosTitle , then set up the Macro settings below:

Settings Decription
Description Enter a description.
Position Select on which positon your macro will display. The number of macros that are displayed depends on your screen resolution.
Display in activity Select one option: - Not displayed - Under arrow - As button
Display in ticket Select one option: - Not displayed - Under arrow - As button
Button colour Select the colour of your macro button.

Action

Drag acontainer from theMacros list and drop it into the form field. You can combine more than one macro together. For example, you can combineReopen macro with theBack macro it will set date for reopening the ticket, save the ticket and return you back on the preview of your tickets.

Macro Description
Back Save your ticket and return to the preview of your tickets.
Category Select a category for this macro. By clicking this macro button it will assign the chosen category and save your ticket.
Delete Delete your ticket and return to the preview of your tickets.
Not save Changes parametres of the ticket without saving it.
Notification Calendar notification. If you click this macro button, the window with your notification will open. Fill in the fields and click Save .
Priority Select a ticket priority for this macro. By clicking this macro button it will change the priority and save your ticket.
Reopen Reopen time: Relative time that should be added to current time for reopening (e.g. +1 week, 3 days, 7 hours, 2 minutes, 5 seconds). Parsed time: it will display example of reopenig time. By clicking this macro button it will set the reopen time and save your ticket. How to Enter Dates and Times You can type dates and times using natural phrases. Here are some examples to guide you: - Simple Dates: - today - tomorrow - yesterday - next Monday - last Friday - in 3 days - 2 weeks ago - Specific Dates: - October 21 - December 25, 2023 - Times of Day: - now - 10 am - 3:30 pm - noon - midnight - Combined Dates and Times: - tomorrow at 5 pm - next Friday at 2:30 pm - October 31 at midnight Tips: - Relative Expressions: Use words like in and ago for times relative to now. - in 4 hours - 3 days ago - Week and Month References: Mention parts of the week or month. - end of the month - start of next week - Combining Elements: Be as specific as you need. - next Tuesday at noon - first day of next month Examples for Scheduling: - To set a recurring report for every Monday at 9 am, enter: next Monday at 9 am - To schedule an event for two days from now, type: in 2 days
Set follower Select the users who will be added as followers after the macro is clicked.
Stage Select a ticket stage for this macro. By clicking this macro button it will change stage of ticket and save your ticket.
Status Select a ticket status for this macro. By clicking this macro button it will add the status of ticket and save your ticket. Check the replace checkbox if you want to replace the old status.
URL address This macro will open a URL address by clicking macro button. In the URL it is also possible to pass parameters/variables that will be replaced by real values. Example URL: https://www.daktela.com/?title='+object.title+'&name='+object.name+'&contact='+object.contact.name+'
User Select a user for this macro. By clicking this macro button it will change the owner of the ticket and save your ticket. Check the replace checkbox if you want to replace the user.

Select Rights

Go toManage → Tickets → Macros . ClickChange in theRights column to edit rights You can select which user can have rights for macro you selected. Check the box in the show column for display your macro in the ticket preview.


Select Category

Go to Manage → Tickets → Macros . Click Categories in the Relations column to edit rights You can select in which categories you want to use your marcro. In the Action column you can edit, clone or delete the category. You can click on Multiple save button to save this settings for multiple macros. If you want this settings for this macro only, just click Save to return to the Macros list.
