SMS Server¶
Go to Application β SMS server to display a list of your sent and received SMSes and to send bulk SMSes. Your profile needs SMS server in the System & Other area.
View Your Sent and Received SMSes¶
When you open Application β SMS server, you will see a list of your sent and received SMSes. Click the title of a column to sort SMSes by that column. Click it again to reverse the sorting. Quick search for an SMS using the field above the list or filter your SMSes using the button above the list. Click Export to export your SMSes. If you have an active filter, only the filtered SMSes will be exported. See Bulk operations for more details.
SMS Delivery Status¶
The Result column shows how far each SMS you sent has got. Hover over the icon to see the details and the time.
| Icon | Status | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Grey tick | Sent | The SMS gateway accepted the message. If a delivery receipt was requested, the status changes to Delivered once the mobile operator confirms delivery to the phone. |
| Grey tick with a crossed-out bell | Sent - Delivery receipt is disabled for this SMS | The SMS was sent without a delivery receipt, so Daktela never learns whether it reached the phone. The status stays Sent. |
| Green tick | Delivered | The mobile operator confirmed that the SMS reached the recipient's phone. The tooltip shows the delivery time. |
| Red circle | Not delivered | The gateway accepted the SMS, but it never reached the phone β for example, the number is unavailable or the message expired. |
| Red circle | Sending failed | The SMS gateway didn't accept the message. |
The same icon appears next to each message you sent in the SMS chat.
Info
Delivery is only confirmed when Delivery receipt is turned on in the SMS queue or the SMS connector.
Delivery status in the API
SMS messages (activitiesSmsMessages) carry time_sent (when the gateway accepted the message), time_delivered (when it reached the phone β empty until then) and delivery_receipt (whether a delivery receipt was requested). An undelivered message has result set to failed.
