Static vs. Generative Responses¶
In the Coworkers.ai platform, you can respond to users in two main ways:
- Static Responses - fully controlled, manually designed replies (Message, Form, Carousel and similar modules)
- Generative Responses - AI-generated replies based on discussion context, documents, and prompts (AI Knowledge base and Free Prompt modules)
Both approaches can be used independently or combined in a single dialog flow to create smart, flexible, and safe interactions.

Combining Both Approaches¶
You donโt have to choose just one.
With Coworkers.ai, you can use static responses for control and generative responses for flexibility โ all within the same flow and dialog, regardless of channel (chat, voice, or email).
Example:
- Static responses to guide the user through critical or most used dialogs (e.g., order status, cancelation, etc.).
- Generative LLM modules to answer FAQs (e.g., searching for answers in your AI Knowledge sources), handle small talk, etc.).
Static Responses¶
Manually defined replies โ like text, buttons, or voice responses.
- โ Fully controlled - reliable and predictable
- โ Possible to use various interactive message types (carousels, forms, gifs, etc.)
- ๐Best for menus, confirmations, critical business flows (e.g., account changes, cancelations, etc., where you want to be in control and use pre-defined responses)
Generative Responses¶
AI-powered replies using prompts, data sources, and discussion context.
- โ More natural conversation and understanding of complex questions
- โ Learns automatically from provided knowledge (very fast setup)
- ๐Best for open questions, FAQs, etc.
