WFM Planning¶
In this chapter, the key steps of the shift planning process in the Daktela WFM system are described.
Calculating Needs¶
"The first step in the shift planning process is to calculate the needs for each workplace based on the defined requirements and traffic forecasts." The system applies historical traffic data and predictive algorithms to determine operator requirements per shift.
Assigning Users to Shifts Based on Needs¶
Once needs are determined, the system allocates personnel to shifts considering their qualifications, employment agreements, and other established criteria. The allocation process incorporates employee preferences, including requested time off and breaks, to generate an optimized schedule.
Publishing the Plan¶
"After the shift plan is created, it can be published for users to see." Employees gain access to view their assigned shifts and may request modifications through the system.
Requests¶
"Users can submit requests for shift changes, holidays, and other absences directly in the system." Management reviews and processes these requests for approval.
Shift Exchange – Market¶
The platform provides a shift exchange marketplace enabling employees to propose swaps with colleagues, offering increased scheduling flexibility.
Plan Fulfilment¶
"The system continuously monitors the fulfilment of the shift plan and provides real-time updates on the status of each shift." This capability enables supervisors to implement necessary modifications for plan compliance.
Export to External Systems¶
"The system supports exporting shift plans and other data to external systems for further processing." This integration feature connects with organizational tools and platforms.
